Overall Rating I like the look- but my skin doesn't like getting caught in the hinge. my suggestion is to put this on like a normal C ring, and use the wrench to take it off, if you want to take it off when hard. Looks good on.- By Summer on 2/10/2016

Overall Rating I bought what I was hoping was slightly large so it could be worn over a sock cut to make a sleeve. As on most of this type of toy the edges are 90°, and with the hinged side possibly pinching, you want the buffer from direct contact.
The hinge is designed so you can fold the pieces in two steps. This lets the halves be parallel while still slightly separated, allowing the bolt to correctly align before you start tightening it. The bolt is positioned in the center of the touching faces. The only problem here is that the bolt hole doesn't have a retaining rim to keep the bolt from coming out & getting lost.
The material seems to be good quality, sturdy & heavy. There were a few loose flakes of chrome when I unwrapped it, but even with a magnifying glass I couldn't spot where they had come off of.
