I have had, and broke at least 10 of these. I have noticed that each one has it’s own “personality”. I’ve had some that stay fairly uniform throughout some that got fatter at the bottom, but most would get fattest at the top 4 inches. Every one except on has broke where the inflator tubing runs into the bottom of it, except for 1, it actually popped like a balloon. But that one stayed around two and a half inch from the bottom up to around 9″, but the last 2 inches of length it would be like 6″ diameter, you could actually feel the weak spot in it, and one day it popped, that was wierd, for sure. Now I have 2 of them, and I don’t break them anymore!

First off, it does lack a solid core, which can make it tricky to insert. The latex is very durable, but this can make it hard to inflate. For the issue of it not inflating very much: pump it up as much as you are willing, and leave it that way for several hours, it will stretch the latex out.
