Fairly easy to set up but much easier with 2 people.
Had to make several modifications to this product. The little screws that hold the stand together easily strip and do not allow for easy assembly. I drilled holes all the way through the tubing and inserted 1/4 inch pins. This modification makes the stand sturdier and allows for easy dis-assembly and re-assembly (approximately 5-10 minutes).
The entire stand is made of quality steel tubing. We love everything about this stand but assembly straight out of the box can be a timely chore (30-45 minutes).
I read the reviews so I knew it would be big but didn’t realize exactly how large it would be, lol. It does take up a LOT of space so don’t expect to set it up in your bedroom unless you have a huge one. It’s not really something you could set up over your bed and be able to use it properly either. Luckily I had enough room in my living area to set it up and use it. It was pretty easy to put together and I am a female and only 5’4″ and I assembled it in about 20 minutes by myself. It comes with the only 2 simple tools you need to put it together with so that is nice. Once I had it together I did have to go back and tighten things up a bit because it was wobbly. Once I did that it was fairly sturdy and I felt safe to use it. It was very easy to take back apart too. My only worry is that in time the little screw things might get stripped out.
It takes up most of a room measuring 12×13…it is very sturdy (I am 155). We both think it is a great purchase, and wish we would have purchased it long ago.
solid and works great. Since we don’t want it just sitting there looking “suspicious” we put a regular porch hammock on it and it is perfectly fine just sitting there. As a frame you probably can’t get an easier assembled stand.
