Overall Rating What I like most about this is the fact it has a dimmer switch built in.
It is NOT more powerful than the Hitachi, they are equal, but old time Hitachi users all have purchased the extra dimmer over time, which you do not need for this one, so you're saving money.

Just what I wanted and its a plug in so it never runs out of juice ;) also just for anyone that is curious it will fit any attachments that say they work with the "magic wand". Overall Rating I am trying to figure out what people are complaining about here...They either have not had a wand style vibrator or really have no clue. I have ALWAYS been a hitachi fan. I LOVE my Hitachis for sure and still use it. My Girlfriend bought one of these Thundersticks and I was sold pretty quickly.
Durability - I have owned TWO Hitachi wands in the last 10 years. The older one still works well. My Thunderstick is now over a year old, My Girlfriends is two years old and no issues at all. And I use it many times a week wit hand without partners! I think the person who said it quit after a minute must have gotten a defective one.
Vibration strength - My biggest complaint with it was it was low or super high and when I am trying to get off the low was typically not quite enough and the high was WAY too much sensation. The Thunderstick solves this issue for me. I did a side by side comparison with both wands on high. The Thunderstick was as least as powerful if not more and like I said I love it is variable from a very very low vibration to turbo! I have no idea what people are saying when they say it is not as strong, That is not the case.
Quality - Hitachi is a Quality product. Well made.The Thunderstick is made with the same quality. It feels good in the hand, nice weight, distributed well. The head on the Thunderstick has a little bit longer neck letting it flex a bit more than the Hitachi.
One Negative issue - The head of the Hitachi is smooth making clean up a snap. The Thunderstick has small ridges on the head which is nice for sensation but it makes it harder to clean. My partner uses an old toothbrush to clean the in the concave of the ridges and that is the only way to clean it well.
Both are VERY quality toys. Both do an excellent job! Depends on what you want. I prefer the variable speed wheel myself.- By Silly meow on 11/13/2015
Overall Rating SUPER powerful and well made. I like that it is sort of heavy. Doesn't feel flimsy and I'm not afraid it's going to break. Great product. Looking forward to a more powerful one.
